One of the biggest factors which impacts the cost of a media wall installation is the fire chosen. As a general rule of thumb, the cost to install a media wall with an electric fire is less expensive than a gas fire or wood-burning stove as they are easier to install and there is no flue required. The cost to install a media wall with a gas or wood-burning stove can be double the cost to install a media wall with an electric fire.

Before deciding whether to install an electric, gas or wood fire it’s important to consider which fuel type is right for you. The majority of media walls tend to be installed with an electric fire, their main purpose being aesthetic. The quality of a fire can also impact the overall cost of the project. Another impact of what can make the cost increase with a media wall installation is the level of detail and bespoke elements included in the design. The most simple and low cost design would be a fire built into a chimney breast with a TV above. For something like this our cost starts from only £3495. This includes building a chimney breast with a custom TV recess (or modification of your existing one), plastering and supply & installation of the fire. The only thing left to do would be decorating.

A mid-range media wall installation might include ambient lighting and bespoke cabinetry. For a premium media wall then additional cabinetry and shelving may be added with bespoke surfaces such as Quartz or Dekton included into the design.
